EMMELINE PANKHURST
Emmeline Pankhurst (b.1858 –d.1928), British political activist, a leader of the British suffragette movement, and founder of the WSPU, Emmeline was instrumental in helping to win the right to vote for women. Women over 30 gained the right to vote in 1918, was extended to all women over 21 in 1928, just two weeks after her death.
